CRITERIA FOR PROMOTION – GET RID OF ANTI PROMOTION THOUGHTS/ BELIEF
MEMORY VERSE: and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect, Romans 12:2
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Num 16, Ps 52-54, Isa 6, Heb 13
There are many true child of God who should be CEOs or chief executives in big organization who are ordinary supervisors, team leader or section leader. There are many believers who should be employers of thousands who are currently looking for jobs. There are many spirit filled Christians who should be lending to nations who are still struggling to pay their house rents. There are many sisters and brothers who should be married with at least two kids who are still looking for the right partners. There are many faithful tithers who by now should be living in abundance who cannot afford three square meals. There are many faithful workers in the vineyard of God who are long due for one kind of promotion or the other who are at the same level they were five years ago. Why is this so, is it that God has seized to be faithful? God has not seized to be faithful. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.
God has opened big doors for many but they have not been able to take advantage of these doors because of their thoughts and beliefs. These thoughts are known as self limiting beliefs or thoughts. The enemy has been using these thoughts in one way or other to keep believers at the same level year in year out. Proverbs 23:7 says for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. You are what you continually think about. If you continue to think of falling sick, before you know it you will fall sick and vice versa. If you entertain success thoughts, don’t be surprised when you become successful and vice versa. Romans 12:2 says and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Promotion comes once your thoughts changes. Transformation comes when the thoughts of the hearts are renewed.
One of the self limiting beliefs that have kept many stagnant in life is the ‘I am not good enough’ belief. The enemy has used this belief to rob many of their open doors. An opportunity comes along; instead of taking the opportunity they begin to doubt their ability. You are good enough because the bible says every creature of God is good, 1 Timothy 4:4. Not only that, you are full of wonders, Psalm 139:14.Since the bible cannot tell lie, whatever the bible has to say about is true then. A thought that has prevented many from taking important decision is the thought of failure – what if I fail, what if something goes wrong, what if I don’t measure up to standard e.t.c. A child of God cannot fail because it is impossible for God to fail. There is no single case of a believer ever failing in the bible. If no believer has ever failed, it will not start with you. You have God on your side so you cannot fail. All you need is just belief. Mark 9:23 says all things are possible to them that believeth.
PRAYER POINTS: Father, rid me of every self limiting beliefs and thoughts.

HE MUST INCREASE Part 1
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR Gen 31, Mark 2, Est 7, Romans 2
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease
2 Corinthians 5:17 says therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. To become a new creature, Christ must increase in our life and we must decrease. The spirit needs to increase and the flesh must decrease. John 6:63 says it is the Spirit that quikeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. The first place Christ needs to increase is in our thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. We are what we think off. If an individual thinks of committing adultery with a woman, he is an adulterer. That is why Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 but I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. This also applies to women too. If an individual thinks of lying in his heart, he is already a liar because as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. This is why the psalmist says if I regard iniquity in my heart; the Lord will not hear me, Psalm 66:18. Transformation only comes when we renew our thoughts .Romans 12:2 says and be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. You are not a new creature if there is still a brother or sister you are wishing that something terrible to happens to. To become a new creature Christ needs to increase in our thoughts. Philippians 4:8 says finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Another area Christ needs to increase is in our conversation. Ephesians 4:29 says let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. There are some words or slangs that should never proceed out of the mouth of a believer. There are some jokes a believer should not even entertain. Ephesians 5:3-4 says but fornication , and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not once named among you, as becometh faith saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. Colossians 3:8 says but now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy talk out of your mouth. As wise children of God, our word needs to be full of grace. Ecclesiastes 10:12 says the words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious. When someone cuts you in traffic and you swear at them or curse them, such words are not full of grace. The reason why Christ needs to increase in our thoughts is because our thoughts control our speech. Luke 6:45 says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Our speech can either bring justification or condemnation on us. Matthew 12:37 says for by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. In other words our thoughts can bring condemnation on us or justification. I pray that our words will bring us justification on the day of judgment in Jesus name, amen.
PRAYER POINT: Father, rid of every evil thoughts and increase in my thoughts.

The power of thoughts
THE POWER
OF THOUGHT
Proverbs
23:7a – For as he thinks in his heart so is he.
Our
thoughts play a major role in the events of lives. Our thoughts determine our
confession, Luke 6:45 says out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Our confession decides our destiny. Proverbs 18:21 says life and death are in
the power of the tongue. Numbers 14:28 says “says to them, ‘As I live,’ says
the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you”. Our
confessions are so important the Lord advises the weak to say they are strong
in Joel 3:10.Our thoughts also determine our action .The elders have a saying,
they say the ancestor to every action is thought. Our actions determine our
rewards both in heaven and on earth. Revelations 22:12 says and, behold, I come
quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work
shall be. Jeremiah 17:10 says I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind,
even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his
doings. Romans 2: 6 say God will render to each man according to his deeds.
Also our thoughts say a lot about us.
According
to Proverbs 23:7, we are our thoughts. Someone might ask how? Others may say
why? Well thoughts precede action and our action defines us. 1 John 3:7 says
little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is
righteous, even as he is righteous.
The
good news is once our thoughts changes, our life changes also. How can we
change our thoughts? By changing what we feed our minds. The reason why so many
Christians still struggle with sexual sin is because of the dirty jokes or
conversation they engage in, dirty movies they watch, dirty songs they listen
to – songs talking of sex and all that. These are where dirty thoughts emanate
from. According Mark 7:15 the product of our thoughts is able to defile us.
Titus 1:15 says to the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled
and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are
defiled. Feeding our minds with spiritual materials like reading the
bible, Christian literature will do us a lot of good. Romans 10:17 says faith
comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. Reading success stories and
autobiographies of people who overcame one difficult or other also helps too.
These are good for the mind; success thoughts and positive thoughts emanate
from them. Before feeding our minds with positive and spiritual materials, we
need to purge ourselves of dirty stuff and the purging is done through fasting
and praying.
PRAYER
POINT: Father, purge me off every thought that is destroying me and causing a
gap between you and me.

EXPECTATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS
For surely there is a future hope; and your expectation shall not be cut off- Proverbs 23:18
When you search through the scriptures,no one got a miracle by chance or luck , they all expected it.The lame man in In Acts 3:1-8 ,expected money from Peter and John. Before He could receive his healing , Peter and John had to change his expectation. They told him look at us and the bible records in Acts 3:5 that he gave them his attention expecting to receive something from them.
In John 4:5-26, is the story of Jesus and the Samaritan women. The woman expected Jesus to ignore her or to give her a cold shoulder especially Jesus been a Jew and she a Samaritan .Jesus changed her expectation so that she will not missed her opportunity to be saved. He told her that if He knew who she was talking to she would asked for Living water and the woman replied in verse 15, Sir please give me this water , that i may not thirst .
Someone might wondering , is it possible for an individual to want a positive results but expect a negative result?oh yes,There are many men who wants to start a project and expects it to be difficult although they would have preferred it to be easy. There are many who expect their husband to cheat ,not because they want that but because they believe men always cheat. There are many who expects life to be tough and difficult .
Our expectation says a lot about us . Proverbs 11:23 says The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
Are you expecting a particular business to fail so that your business can make profits?
Action point: Expect a good thing to happen you
